A very special project is the beehive scale. It is used to detect food requirements in spring, notify when swarming occurs, measure the collected honey and even indicate potential aggressiveness of the bees in response to air pressure fluctuations. From the mechanical design, through the embedded Linux system with kernel drivers and evaluation application, to cloud-based data storage — everything was developed by IT-Klinger. Today, three independent locations are equipped with beehive scale installations. Take a look at the data analysis and see for yourself how the bees are doing at the moment:
